US Marines....And Many More..

A nice tribute to the great men and women who serve in the US Marine Corps.  Living close to and serving Marines and their families at Quantico you learn the meaning of true dedication and service to our country.

We can never say thank-you enough to our troops for all they do.

They have come a long way from the tavern in Philadelphia where the Corps was founded 233 years ago. Beaufort is so proud to be able to join in celebrating such an amazing birthday.

As non-military, my appreciation is from a different perspective, but true just the same.

Dear Marines,

Thank you for waking at 3am so that I can sleep as long as I like.

Thank you for going to scary places so I don't have to go.

Thank you for sacrificing time with your family, so that mine can freely meet.

Thank you for believing in our country even when everyone else does not.

I am so fortunate to live in Beaufort, SC where just across the deep water of the Beaufort River, is a constant reminder of the few, and the proud.

Happy Birthday US Marine Corps!.....and many more.

They stand to post, on a wall in a place that would give most of us nightmares.  They display uncommon, unusual  courage.  They represent the best and the brightest among us.

God bless our troops.

Very nice. I am missing the USMC Birthday Ball this year and I am very disappointed. My husband is right now as we speak practicing for the ceremony they will preform on Saturday at his units Marine Corps Birthday Ball. I hope I get some pictures in my email!

Jo-I went to the ball two years ago and it was an unbelievable experience.  I look forward to seeing pictures!
