A year ago I penned a post on how September 11th was the second day that changed my life. Today as we once again stop to reflect and use the day to re-energize it seemed appropriate to repost the slide show I put together for Independence day to remember our countries heroes. They are the ones who have made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can continue to enjoy our freedom. Next year the slide show will be updated to include the Pentagon Memorial which will be dedicated this morning. May we all remember September 11th . Use it as a day to give thanks and go forward with a positive attitude for all we have as a country and as individuals.

Looks good, nice job. God bless.
Don't forget what happened that day and demand that our leaders going forward have the country's security first and foremost. What good is free college and free health care if we are a Chinese or some other Provence? Priorities are important.
Hey, Cindy. Thanks for sharing the lovely words and photos. Take Care, Jim
Thanks Cindy - This day is a day to remember all that we have and how hard it is to keep it.
I saw bits and pieces of the dedication of the new memorial at the Pentagon this morning. Very toucing.
It's really more of a meditaion area which I think is a touching tribute.
Cindy, I'm looking forward to stopping by to see the new 9/11 Memorial at the Pentagon sometime soon.
Brian-thanks for stopping by and taking the tour.
Jim-thanks for coming by and taking the tour. Even though I originally put it together for Independence Day it seemed appropriate for today as well.
Ira-we always have to remember how lucky we are. Even when things are "bad" here they aren't as bad as other parts of the world.
Ken-I'll make my way down to the memorial in a few days. It looks, as you say, to be more of a quiet monument like the Vietnam Memorial.
Brian-it appears to be very well thought out and a fitting memorial to those who gave their lives on that fateful day.
