Fort Belvoir Community Hospital-The Future Arrives For Local Troops in August 2011

For the last few years driving through the Pence Gate on Fort Belvoir military families have watched the progress of the new $1 Billion Fort Belvoir Community Hospital could be seen.  From the first set of plans to the finishing touches everything is being done to make the new hospital a world class facility.

In addition to the world class care within the hospital a new Warrior in Transition facility is also nearing completion as well.  For injured service members this allows easy access to the hospital facility but independent living in a shared apartment with separate bedrooms.  The hospital is the one of the most visible changes as Fort Belvoir prepares for the influx of 21,000 personnel from around the region.

Here is a highlight tour of the new facility:

Thank you Cindy for a close up look of the facilities.  As a former Registered Nurse, I am so happy to see this facility built and available to our military and the families.   Well deserved for sure.

Cindy, how nice is that, a new facility to help heal the wounds of those who help all of us!

Kathleen-the new hospital is a huge improvement over the old one where my daughter was born.  The new Warrior in Transition facilities are welcome addition to the area.

Barbara Jo-this is one time when I don't think there will be any complaints about government spending.
