Northern Virginia Military Families Are On The Move-Spring Can't Be Far Behind

A sure sign that spring is coming is when military families start receiving their PCS orders.  Today I put a great townhouse in the Woodbridge VA community of Riverside Station on the market.  Within hours a military family on a house hunting trip toured the property.  The home is owned by a military family who are selling the home using the Department of Defense Homeowners Assistance Program (HAP) benefits.

This is the second home I've listed this week for military families who left Northern Virginia in the last few years and made the decision to rent versus complete a short sale.  This is great news for buyers, even  though you have to wait a couple of months for the government to process paperwork, you aren't waiting for a lender to make a decision.

If you are an incoming military family and thinking of buying a home on your tour check out this great home in the Riverside Station neighborhood.  You can walk to the VRE station to commute to the Pentagon, it is a reverse commute to Quantico and you are under 20 miles to the gates of Fort Belvoir.

If you are relocating to Fort Belvoir, Quantico or the Pentagon this spring give Cindy Jones and CJ Realty Group a call at 703-346-2213.   If you are a military family who left Northern Virginia and qualify for the DoD HAP program we've got you covered.   Find out how we've helped 21 families sell their Northern Virginia homes using HAP benefits in the past year.

Spring has sprung early in the real estate market, despite the snow and ice-nastiness we're expecting tomorrow.

Hi Cindy, nice video. Thanks for sharing the information about Dept of Defense HAP benefits. We are expecting about 9,000 new military families in the San Antonio area this year alone.

Good looking house, Cindy!  And that back yard is big enough for a crazed Labradoodle!

Jerry-we are having a shuffling of about 21,000 civilians and military here as a part of BRAC 05.  Not all new but there is a % that are starting to arrive.

An offer already?  Not even 24 hours on the market.  Good listings move fast.

Pat-who says we have a slow market?  Actually I got a call that a second offer will be coming in this morning.  Three more listings in the wings to prep for the market in the next few weeks.
