The National Chapter of the Combat Veterans of America Motorcycle Club is gearing up to honor the nation's living and deceased service members by participating in Rolling Thunder this weekend.
The group will gather and then depart the VFW in Dale City at 8 a.m., with a police escort leading anywhere between 150 and 300 motorcycles
If you can’t head into DC to catch the full Rolling Thunder Rally then you can catch a mini-version in Prince William County on Sunday morning.
Find you your spot along Minnieville Road or the Prince William County Parkway to cheer them on as they ride to join the thousands of others participating in Rolling Thunder.

Cindy: I'll never forget the Memorial Weekend Sunday that I took my mother for a brunch cruise on the Potomac. We were going under the Memorial Bridge as Rolling Thunder was going over the bridge.
Cindy
It's important to remember what Memorial Day is all about.
Good luck and success.

Cool! I couldn't find anything about local motorcycle clubs gathering to join Rolling Thunder, although I'm sure there probably are. This is great info for people between Dale City and the Pentagon. My daughter and I were talking about whether we had the energy to take Metro into DC for part of the day on Sunday, but catching some of the bikes en route would be soooooo much easier!
Cindy.....that must be spectacular to see.....have a good weekend....
Chris Ann-it is loud enough on top of the bridge so being under it would really amplfy the sound.
Lou-yes it is.
Margaret-you might check with your local VFW to see if they are a gathering point as well. It will be crowded in town!
Barbara-the major event in DC is very impressive and watching groups roll into town makes you realize how important it is.
