It's that time of year again. The sights, sounds and smells of local farmers markets opening after a cold winter bring smiles to residents all over the DC Metro and Northern Virginia area.
This morning I was in DC early and the smell from the spring flowers is still filling my head. Support your local farmers and businesses. Head to your area farmers markets and enjoy all the fresh flowers, vegies and baked goods.

Hi Cindy, I love our farmer's market here in La Jolla! Tiffany
Tiffany-You can find a farmers market in our area every day but Monday. I still smell the Peonies after 3 hours.

Hannah-to me the opening of the local farmers markets is something I look forward to every year.
The flowers I have had all winter are drooping as the temp get closer to 100 degrees. My garden is almost done and I am having to buy my spinach and lettuce again. But time goes on and before we know it, you will be getting ready for fall and i will have my garden again here in Arizona.
Thanks for sharing. Hope you have enjoyed your day.
Deanne-the only thing I missed when I lived in AZ was I could never figure out the right season to grow tomatoes.
Roy-thanks for sharing your blooms as well.
Cindy - farmers markets, flea markets, yard sales are all great places to shop for good things at reasonable prices.
