HELPFULHANNAH
Hannah-A big DUH to me. Fixed it come back :-)
Cindy, Sure looks a lot different. I remember how it was in the 70s and 80s. Some great homes in Lorton. We have quite a few friends living there.
Hi Cindy: I'm gonna try making one of these videos. Good for you. I covered news in the DC area many years ago and when I think of Lorton I recall troubles with the inmates there. Things sure have changed!
Very unique and well presented tour of the community, Cindy. Very professional.
Rebecca-it has been a nice redevelopment project. My first closing this year was for a nice detached home in Lorton. It has changed since the 70's and 80's.
Kristen-yes times have changed in Lorton. It may still take a while to shake the stigma that was attached to the area from the DC Reformatory being there but now those old buildings are a new arts center.
Jane-thank you. I've been updating my community snippets to include voice over. Still not happy with any of the video I've been working on so this is an intermediate step.
A well done video Cindy! You voice was cystal clear and articulate! :)
Cindy this is a very nice presentation for Lorton Virginia! I hope you have a great year selling homes.
Jackie-thanks I had to do a few voice retakes to try and get it right. It is still a learning experience.
Bill-thank you and may you have a good year as well. I know last year was a great one for your team!
Cindy, wow! Great job! We see so much really bad video, and this one is really professional. And you sound like you pass the fun test, which, of course, you do.
Cindy very well done. What program do you use to make it? I've done video on Movie Maker in the past but I love how you went in and out on the photgraphs. Very nice!
Pat-fun test there is a fun test? Where do I sign up.
Connie-I used iMovie on my MAC. It does so much of the work for you. I picked a the scrap book theme, uploaded the pictures, did the transitions and then the voice over. Then it was a matter of timing the transitions and the length of the slides to the voice. Still learning but it is much easier than Movie Maker.
Cindy - I really like how the video looked like pictures in your scrap book. Very well done.
John-thank you for the compliment. It is all done with iMovie on the MAC.
Great job on this presentation... Video is very effective.
and thank you for the congrats on my blog
your friend in Charlottesville Virginia!
What a wonderful job. Excellent information and a fabulous presentation.
Mark-thank you for stopping by and the compliments.
Cindy:
You have done a great job presenting Lorton to all who are looking in this area. Video does so much more than photos. Well done.
Charles-thanks for stopping by. We all see so many presentations about an area that have no context. Trying to change things up a bit for my clients and prospects.
Claudette-thank you for the compliment. We have to capture buyers attention in a shorter amount of time these days or they move on.
Cindy - Great job. For many of us the word Lorton still conjures up a scary place so I appreciate seeing the great developments. May I ask what you are using for your video?
Michael
Michael-I'm using iMovie maker for the neighborhood quick tours. They are still photos with timed transitions. They photo album is a standard feature that you can use with MAC.
Cindy,
Lorton has changed significantly even in the past 10 years.
Your video is impressive. I have a MAC but haven't really made great use of the features. You just inspired me to try my iMovie.
Cara-I'm finding iMovie to be very easy to use and I've been working on PodCasts through Garage Band as well.
Todd & Devona-WOW thanks. I'm not thrilled with my voice but I'm trying hard to speak slowly and make them information easy to understand.
Well done, Cindy. It made me want to see more about this community!
Well done Cindy, I do like your voice. I love making movies, and I wish I had a Mac after seeing this video. I use a program called AVS4U, I found it easier to use than movie maker. I write the information on the images, as I speak with an accent
Kathryn-thanks for your comment. I'm doing a series of these on local communities and of course will do them on my listings as well.
Tere-It is getting easier to do these. iMovie and Garage Band on MACs make it easy to do these and PodCasts too.
