My thoughts go out to all of those who lost a loved one at this week's tragedy at Fort Hood. With the approach of Veteran's Day we need to remember that each headstone and flag at Arlington Cemetery represents a loved one who served our country honorably. Keep our troops both at home and at war in your thoughts this week.

Cindy,
That was a sad case; we haven't heard the last of this for a while.
We attended the Veteran's Day parade in Manassas last Saturday. The color guard at the head of the parade was from Fort Hood - the ovation they received was deafening
Terry-it is a tragedy and one that hopefully we will not see again in the near future.
Karen-as well it should have been and for everyone who serves our country.
Cindy, it was a horribly sad day, even for us, when we heard about it.
Hopefully something like that will never happen again.
Cindy, what a beautiful photo. This is going to be a very sad Veterans Day for many families.
Sylvie-tragedies like this are hard to hear of and so senseless. We can only hope that it doesn't happen again.
Pat-yes it is just one of 365 days a year when we should remember those who serve our country.
I never visited this yard - great shot. Fantastic reminder for Veteran's Day too
I always get chills when I see photos like this one. We will all remember them for a while.
Steve-this is the first year in a long time that I am not in town for Veteran's Day and making a visit to my husband's final resting place. However he and all of those who are buried there will always be in my thoughts and prayers.
Dedra-Arlington is an amazing place to see. Today is a great day to say thank you to all who serve our country.
